Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans are projects that prioritize stakeholder participation. Within this scope, Thematic Workshops were organized during the implementation of the Trabzon SUMP Project, providing an opportunity for all stakeholders in the city to express their views and suggestions.

The workshops were conducted in six different sessions, each focused on a specific theme. Each session began with a brief presentation on the project, followed by the sharing of data related to Trabzon. In every session, issues related to the theme were identified and classified; the classified topics were distributed among tables, where solution proposals were discussed. Subsequently, each table presented its proposed solutions. Additionally, word suggestions were collected during the sessions to contribute to the next phase: the vision-setting process.

With the participation of 231 people across six sessions, the Thematic Workshops proved to be a successful event in terms of identifying the issues that need to be addressed in the city and developing possible solution proposals for these issues.

Launched under the Transport Sectoral Operational Program, the ongoing Trabzon SUMP Project will continue its process based on inclusiveness and with the contribution of all stakeholders across the city.
