Within the scope of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for Trabzon, the fifth Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting was held on 13.11.2024 at Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, hosted by the municipality and attended by experts from the EU Investments Department, the European Union Delegation to Türkiye, and the contractor consortium TYPSA & Boğaziçi Proje & KAISER Engineering.

The meeting was hosted by the Secretary General of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Gurkan UCUNCU, with participation from the Head of the EU Investments Department, Dr. Tijen İĞCİ, the European Union Delegation to Turkey representative Mr. Akif TURKEL, Contracting Authority Representative Mr. Adem KOC, and other Ministry officials.

Information on completed and ongoing project activities was presented by the Project Team Leader, Mr. Jose LAFFOND YGES, on behalf of the contractor consortium TYPSA & Boğaziçi Proje & KAISER Engineering.

As part of the activities conducted to assess Trabzon’s current mobility, a presentation was delivered on the completed work packages, trainings conducted, and stakeholder meetings held from the start of the project up to the current stage. Details regarding the scenario development process were also shared. Additionally, Project Team Leader Jose LAFFOND YGES provided information about the field visit program to the cities of Madrid.
