The 3rd Project Steering Committee Meeting of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for Trabzon (SUMP for Trabzon) was held.

The Project Steering Committee, which monitors the progress of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for Trabzon (SUMP for Trabzon) launched in June 2023 under the Sectoral Operational Programme for Transport (USOP) convened for the third time on 2 April 2024 at Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality.

The meeting was hosted by Mr. Gurkan UCUNCU, Secretary General of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, with the participation of Mr. Burak AYKAN, Director General for EU and Foreign Relations on behalf of the Contracting Authority; Ph.D Tijen IGCI, Head of the EU Investments Department; Mr. Adem KOC, Contract Manager; and Mr. Emrah BALTACI, Financial Expert.

A presentation on the completed and ongoing activities regarding the project’s progress was delivered on behalf of the contractor consortium TYPSA, Bogazici Project Engineering Inc., and Kaiser Engineering and Consultancy Inc. by Mr. Jose LAFFOND YGES, Project Team Leader.

During the project implementation process, field studies were completed and thematic workshops with stakeholders were held. Following the presentation on the project’s progress, participants reviewed and evaluated the activities planned and targeted within the scope of the project.
