The second Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting under the Trabzon Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP for Trabzon) was held on 25.01.2024 at the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, with the participation of the Directorate of EU Investments and experts from the contractor consortium TYPSA & Bogazici Project & KAISER Engineering.

The meeting was hosted by the Secretary General of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Gurkan UCUNCU, with the participation of the Head of the Directorate of EU Investments, Ph.D Tijen IGCI, the Contract Manager Mr. Adem KOC, and Ministry officials on behalf of the Contracting Authority.

Information on completed and ongoing project activities was presented by the Project Team Leader of the contractor consortium, Mr. Jose LAFFOND YGES, and the Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Specialist, Mr. Murat CAGATAY.

Within the framework of studies assessing the current mobility situation in Trabzon, information was provided regarding the data collection process and field studies. In the progress achieved within the project, trainings were provided on transport planning, communication skills, and GIS topics to raise awareness of urban mobility and strengthen institutional capacity. Interdisciplinary workshops and training sessions were conducted to encourage the active participation of project stakeholders.
